Obituary of William Carl Fuller
William Carl Fuller, 83, of Catonsville Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on May 5, 1939 to Henry and Catherine Fuller in Baltimore, Maryland. After Bill graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1958, he joined the US Navy and served for ten years.
After his career in the Navy, he worked as an electrical engineer on the Enterprise, the first nuclear aircraft carrier, where he traveled all around the world. He continued working as an electrician at Proctor and Gamble and then spent the majority of his career working for Baltimore Gas and Electric. He continued to work for Charlestown Retirement Community and Ole Mink Farm where he and his loving wife owned a camper and loved staying. Bill continued working well into his early 70’s and was always staying busy.
In 1954, Bill met Marge by a chance encounter, when she was 12 years old and he was 15 years old. They married five years later, on April 11, 1959. After that, they went on to have three wonderful children; Danny, Brenda, and Laura. Bill and Marge were lovingly married for 63 years.
When Bill (or Pop as some lovingly called him) wasn’t working or spending time with his family, he enjoyed being on the mountain, cutting his lawn, fishing, hunting, and tinkering in his basement workshop. He was a proud member of AA, for almost thirty years, where he met many lifelong friends and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Bill was predeceased by his father Henry, his mother Catherine, and his daughter Brenda. He is survived by his wife, his two children, his nine grandchildren, and his ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Loudon Park Funeral Home at 3620 Wikens Avenue in Catonsville. On Monday, February 27, 2023, two public viewings will take place from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
