




Obituary of James E. Johnson Sr.
James Eric Johnson, affectionately known as “Snookie” or “Jay Jay” by friends and family was born on August 18, 1945 to the late Willie Johnson and Marjorie Faulk, in Baltimore,Maryland.
James departed this life on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Northwest Hospital after a lengthy illness.
James received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. James entered the United States Army in June 1964 and was honorably discharged in April 1970. He joined the Postal Service as a Letter Carrier, for 25 years from which he retired in 2003.
James was a loving and caring husband. His wife wanted for nothing. He was a LOVER and an AVID collector of music of all kinds. He keep a sorted selection of old and new, and he liked it LOUD. We often had to tell him to turn it down. He loved going to the movies, casinos, traveling and gathering with friends and family.
James leaves to cherish his memory are: his wife, Sally A Johnson; two sons, James Jr (Jaime); Ayrron. Two step-sons: Winston/Pete (Donine); Paul/Pedro. Step-daughter: Winica/Winnie(Roscoe). Four sisters: Sharon, Sandra, Robin, and Jill. One Brother: Kim. Two brother-in-laws: Pastor Charles Lundy (Jacqueline), and William/Bill Lundy (Emma). Grandchildren: Ariana, Stephen, Antavia, C’aira, Paul, London, Lauryn, Makayla, Lindsay, and Laura. Great grandchildren: Ayreon, Kayla, Khalil, and Kendell. James preceded in death by his Mother: Marjorie Faulk; Father: Willie Johnson; Step-father James Faulk; Step-mother: Odessa Johnson; Brothers: Rodney and Keith Johnson.
On Monday, January 2, Loudon Park Funeral Home will be holding the viewing for James will be held from 3PM-7PM.
On Tuesday, January 3, the funeral services will be held in Loudon Park's Primrose Chapel starting at 10:30AM with the burial to follow at 12PM in Loudon Park Cemetery. 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, Maryland 21229.
