Obituary of Richard "Ricky" Thompson

Richard Leo Thompson, (Red Bird), age 71, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, in the nursing home.

Rick is survived by his wife Mariea Thompson, stepchildren: Renae Modeski and Kirk Kluver, and his brother Lonnie Thompson. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Becky Huegelmeir, Chuck Thompson, Carol Aikens, and Arlene Leech, Mother Dorothy Thompson, and Father Lawrence Thompson, and stepson Scott Keith Kluver.

Rick was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Dorothy and Lawrence Thompson on September 14, 1951. Rick went to Patterson high School. He was a chemical technician for FMC from which he retired. He enjoyed charter fishing with his family and friends. He was an avid science fiction, action, and adventure movie buff. He was also a foodie who enjoyed dining out with his wife, Mariea.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5pm – 8pm at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229.
