Obituary of Nancy Eileen Ritenour

Nancy Eileen Ritenour (nee Goette) age 79 of Baltimore, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday August 5, 2022, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. 

Born on September 9, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, Nancy was the daughter of the late Rudolf Frederick and Margaret Goette (nee Dorn).  She was happily married for 36 years to the late Emory O. Ritenour Jr.

Nancy was a communicant of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Arbutus, MD, and Community Lutheran Church in Frankford, DE, where she became involved after retiring and moving to Berlin, MD in 2005. Throughout her life, Nancy cherished her time spent with friends and family.  She especially enjoyed annual family vacations to

Ocean City, MD. Her signature gift of joy was shown through her many friendships and laughter that will never be forgotten. 

Nancy is survived by her loving daughter, Christina A. Engel, and her husband Robert; three grandchildren, Emma, Grace, and Matthew, and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her cherished, life-long friend, Linda Krumpholz, and her three children, Michael, Heather, and Jennifer. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 10a.m.-11a.m, funeral service at 11a.m., with interment immediately following. Services will be held at Loudon Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, Maryland 21229.
