Obituary of Donna Jean Martin

Our beautiful mother, Donna Jean Martin (nee Phillips), passed away suddenly on June 23, 2022.

She was the beloved wife, or bean as our dad would call her, of John Joseph Martin Sr. John and Donna were together since 1988, and had been married to the love of her life since October 26, 1991, sharing 34 beautiful, and loving years together.

Donna was a selfless woman, a truly loving and compassionate person, caring for everyone she encountered. Always singing, being happy, giving, and kind, and always being there to talk to everyone. She was a very supportive and great mother who always loved her children.

She is survived by her one sibling, sister Barbara Mitchell. She is survived by her 9 wonderful children who miss her so very much and who she loved very much: Shantell Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez Jr, Kristopher Rodriguez Sr, John Martin Jr, Kara Martin, Allison Martin, Derek Martin, Aaron Martin, and Cain Martin. She is also survived by her grandchildren she called “the crew”, and who lovingly referred to her as Mammy: Marissa Sizemore and Alexis Sizemore, Georga Coombs, George Coombs and Rachel Coombs, Riley Johnson and Mackenzie Johnson, Kristopher Rodriguez Jr, Antonio Rodriguez III, and Olivia Rodriguez.  She will now be a beautiful guardian angel to a granddaughter coming in July, Madison Pearl. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and many who knew and loved her very much.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Frances Amy Phillips and father George Hull Phillips Sr. Her twin sister, Dawn Phillips, along with her other siblings: Michael, George, Terry, Gerry, Carol, and Emily.

Funeral Services are going to be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229, A visitation will be from 3pm-6pm in the funeral home chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6pm.
