David Michael Martin Galvin  5/14/65 – 12/18/2021

David Galvin, who passed away suddenly after 56 years of life, is the son of the late Cassandra “Petey” O’Neill and the late former Watertown Mayor John H Galvin.  A graduate of Watertown High School ’83, David attended two years at St. Bonaventure University and moved to Washington DC.  In DC David worked first for the Department of Commerce and then for Trade Resources specializing in computer programming.  His list of employment, also included Trader Joes, Uber, and Angel Painting all in the DC area.  His early life employment was with the Golden Lion Restaurant, Watertown, and The Barracks Inn Restaurant, Sackets Harbor.

David was known for his quick wit and massive trivia knowledge.  He had a big heart and is survived by many relatives: siblings: Patrick Galvin, Catonsville, MD; Nancy Galvin, Madrid, NY; Marie Galvin Hopkins, Amherst, NY; Johnny Galvin, Fredricksburg, VA; and the son of his late sister Diane “Marcel” Galvin O’Riley: Carlton O’Riley, Ashburn, VA. David has four other nieces/nephews: Danny Galvin, Los Angeles, CA; Cassandra Hopkins, Saranac Lake, NY; the late Carolyn Hopkins, Buffalo, NY; and Silas Hopkins, Buffalo, NY.  He is remembered by many friends and relatives as “Diamond Dav” and “Two Dogs.”

Services will be held on May 14, 2022, at 2pm, at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229. 

The memorial service will be livestreamed. The video will be available beginning Saturday, May 14, at 2pm, when the service begins. The video will stay attached to this obituary.
