




Obituary of Judith A Whitehill
Judith A. Whitehill, 75, of Arbutus, passed away on Christmas Day after a brief illness. She was born in West Allis, Wisconsin, and moved to Baltimore with her family when she was five years old. She graduated from Edmondson High School and retired from the National Security Agency after more than 30 years of service.
Judy loved to garden, travel, do word searches, and make crafts. She volunteered with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Martin’s Home in Catonsville,where she assisted residents with things such as grocery shopping and getting to and from medical appointments. She was a member of the Association Jeanne Jugan, which was formed to honor the Little Sisters’ founder.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Angela (nee Glatch) and Martin Whitehill, and a baby sister, Nancy. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Richmond and Rachel Bruce (Robert), her former husband, Larry Richmond, and two granddogs, Abby and Emmy.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Agnes Hospital and Gilchrist Hospice Care for their compassionate care for Judy.
A visitation will be held at Loudon Park Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, at 11 a.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. The funeral home is located at 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, 21229. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Catonsville or Gilchrist Hospice Center Howard County in Columbia.
