Obituary of Eleanor Blottenberger Veltre

Eleanor Blottenberger Veltre, formerly of Linthicum Heights and Cambridge, Maryland passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family. “Ellie”, as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 9, 1932. She loved football and baseball, especially the Ravens and the Orioles, traveling the United States and abroad, playing tennis, golf, crabbing on the Choptank River, playing bridge with her Charlestown “crew”, and of course, dancing and singing at many family and Charlestown functions. Eleanor was a loving wife of over 59 years to the late, Dr. Francis A. Veltre. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings and is survived by her seven children, Carmina Price, Christina McVey (David), Carla Andrews (Frank), Anita Wolf (Steve), Angela McNulty (Sean), Francis Veltre, and Paula Montgomery, 14 grandchildren, Heather Parsha, Timmy Price, Ryan and Erin McVey, Brendan and Elyse Andrews, Christina and Cara Wolf, John, Meghan, and Kevin McNulty, Mauriana and Kyle Veltre, and Owen Montgomery, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are gathering at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229 on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 5PM - 8PM. A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, at 10AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228. Entombment will follow immediately after at Loudon Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, you may make donations in Eleanor Veltre's honor to St. Agnes Heart Failure Clinic, 900 S.
