Ellwood Chris Cole (The Buzz)

Ellwood Chris (The Buzz) Cole, 69, of Pasadena, MD, passed away surrounded by his beloved family at BWMC on Monday, September 26, 2022, while listening to “Stairway to Heaven”.  The Buzz is survived by his devoted wife of 50yrs, Darlene Cole, also of Pasadena, daughters Christina Gran of Pasadena, & Charlene Cole (Smith) of York, PA. Son in laws, John Gran Sr. of Pasadena, William Smith Jr of York, PA and Joseph Jones of Manchester, MD.  Grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Sr and Nicole Andrews of Pasadena, Brittany Smith and Demetreius Horne of York, Arianna Smith of York, and John (JD) Gran Jr. of Pasadena.  Great grandchildren, Brandon Cole Jones Jr. of Pasadena and Kehlani Rose Horne of York, as well as an abundance of other family and lifelong friends.  The Buzz was proceeded in death by his parents, Walter and Eleanor Cole and his bonus “granddaughter” Braelyn Elizabeth Blades of Glen Burnie.

The Buzz was born in Baltimore on January 29, 1953, and was a career truck driver for Canada Dry, Inc. for 30yrs, prior to retiring in 2008, due to the beginning of his 14yr battle with COPD.  The Buzz was an avid Baltimore sports fan—loving his Ravens and Orioles.  He also enjoyed playing his slot machine games on the computer, scratching off his scratch off’s, watching endless court shows, and gardening, Lord knows he grew his fair share of “plants”.  The Buzz enjoyed spending time with his family and friends—always the life of the party, entertaining everyone who paid a visit to “the house of nuts” with his exuberant “fish tales”.  We have been so blessed to have The Buzz share his cornucopia love of music with us throughout the years—from the Big Bopper to Lionel Ritchie--The Doors to Marvin Gaye.  His love of music is reflected in three generations of children and grandchildren.
