Jean Ellen Drehoff was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away on July 22, 2021 at the blessed age of 96. While she enjoyed good health most of her life, she ultimately succumbed to heart-related problems. Jean Ellen was born and raised in Hartford, AL. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in aeronautical engineering (the only woman in her class), where she met and later married her husband of 55 years. She was a housewife who raised her family in Linthicum, MD and spent her retired years in Pasadena, MD, enjoying boating and swimming. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and Hospice of the Chesapeake. She was a wonderful southern cook who loved boiled peanuts, steamed crabs, and watching hummingbirds at her feeder! She is preceded in death by her husband John James Drehoff; son David Travis Drehoff; parents John Adams Daughtry and Winnie Omie Daughtry; sister Nell Mills;and sister Martha Dunn. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Jean Borsetti and son-in-law Raymond Borsetti; son John James Drehoff, III and daughter-in-law Diane Wyble Drehoff; son Richard Drehoff and daughter-in-law Leslie Rue Drehoff; daughter Peggy Winette Pilley; and son Paul Adams Drehoff. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A public viewing will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11am at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229. A funeral service will be immediately after on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 starting at 12pm, at Loudon Park Funeral Home. A private graveside will be immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
